The BBC's powerhouse dance-music pioneer n, Annie Mac never fails to burn up the dancefloor with her cutting-edge DJ sets. Her main show, Annie Mac's Mash Up, on Friday nights is renowned for playing a new eclectic and underground mix of new musical genres such as electro, dubstep, dnb, hip-hop, and disco.
Benga
Benga is back! The intensely dynamic dubstep producer and part of the Tempa and Big Apple Record labels. Described as a vital name in the development of dubstep style for his fusion of the already existing South London dubstep sound with the newer East London born grime sound and was also one of the first dubstep producers when the style was emerging in the early 2000s.
Bigger than Barry DJS
Bigger than Barry are two club promoters who tired of the clubbing scene in their native Birmingham and decided to set up their own parties in the backroom of a pub. Four years later and their reputation has grown and grown. Now they've staged shindigs in just about every makeshift venue imaginable – warehouses, courtyards, strip clubs, drained pools, restaurants, the list goes on.
Breakage
Breakage aka James Boyle is never been one to be pigeonholed. Moving effortlessly through styles from drum and bass to dubstep, Breakage has proved himself to be one of the most versatile operators in either scene to date. A prodigious talent, he already has a number of classic releases under his belt but continues to develop his sound. Combining rich tones and a sense of spaciousness in the mix, Breakage’s music is both subtle yet devastatingly effective.
Busy P
French electro DJ/producer Pedro Winter (aka Busy P) is the owner of Ed Banger Records which has released music by up-and-coming French electro artists such as Justice, Mr. Flash, Vicarious Bliss, Krazy Baldhead, SebastiAn, Uffie, DJ Mehdi, and others. Shortly after founding Ed Banger Records, Winter began producing tracks of his own under the Busy P moniker, beginning in 2004 with the Limit Ed 12" single featuring the tracks "Colette C'est Chouette" and "Bearbrickdance," and began employing his remixing ability as well as his many other talents.
Chase & Status Dj Set
Chase & Status earned their stripes with a few early singles and their debut album ‘More Than Alot’ winning a 2009 Drum and Bass Award for best album. From there, Milton and Kennard dipped their toes into more pop-oriented production; "End Credits," a 2009 single featuring Plan B, entered the U.K. Top Ten and led to the 2011 album No More Idols, which featured collaborations with Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, and Cee-Lo Green.
Dillinja & Lemonde
Arguably the most prolific producer within the drum and bass scene (with over 500 releases produced since 1991), Dillinja subsequently set up Valve Recordings in partnership with long-term collaborator Lemon D (Kevin King), with whom he also designed and built the Valve Sound System. Purported to be the most bass-heavy system in the world (contrary to rumour it is not the loudest[citation needed]), it is the only sound system to have been purpose-built for drum and bass.
Dj Hype
DJ Hype is the drum and bass producer and DJ Kevin Ford, widely considered one of the pillars of modern drum and bass, with a pivotal role in expanding musical styles within that genre. Gaining his experience as part of the Heatwave Soundsystem (part of Shut Up & Dance), he mixed reggae, hip hop and house and now applies this eclectic ethic to his drum and bass sets. He has built soundsystems and hosted radio shows on Fantasy FM and Kiss, and operates the labels True Playaz, Naughty and Global Thang.
Doorly
Doorly shows us why, in an era when it seems every DJ shows up to gigs carrying something smaller than a kid’s lunchbox, he is the exception to this rule. With a critically acclaimed EP on Wax:On Music and a series of official & major label remixes for artists including Dizzee Rascal, Basement Jaxx, Calvin Harris and more, nothing can stand in this mans way right now.
Erol Alkan
Erol Alkan has lent his Midas touch to every carefully undertaken project since the early 1990’s, from infamous club night Trash, fabled residencies including Bugged Out, and a dizzying production rosta including his own aliases, “Mustapha 3000” Phantasy Label and “Beyond the Wizards Sleeve”, also producing for some of the hottest talent around. Erol has since found another outlet for his desire to share his favourite music via the radio station BBC 6 Music, where his succession of 6 Mixes initiated listeners into all kinds of brilliant music. Erol’s eternal mission to create and sustain the excitement only great records can provide means scouring shops and submerging himself into the tidal wave of music he gets sent, in the hope – usually realised – that he’ll dig out an amazing tune no-one else knows about.
Eskimo Twins
Since meeting at university in Leeds, these two friends have shared their passion for music. After graduating, the pair immersed themselves in the city's clubbing and live music scene and began to make music together. After agreeing on their mutual appreciation of Techno, Classic House, Indie, Acid, Electro, and their lingering teenage love of Metal; the Twins busied themselves with tweaking and crafting a dark electronic sound, inter-mangled with their penchant for twisted pop sensibilities.
Grooverider
Grooverider's influence on the Drum & Bass scene is the stuff of legend, his residency Rage at Heaven in the late 80s and early 90s was the laboratory in which dance music's most potent testing was done, and in which the evolution from acid house through to drum & bass was inspired. Went on to launch Prototype, spread the D&B gospel the world over and take D&B to Radio 1, where he remains.

Musical man of many names, Joshua ‘Hervé’ Harvey will be joining us once more. Known across the galaxy as one half of The Count and Sinden, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers, Voodoo Chilli or his super-group Machines Don’t Care, Hervé never fails in his mission to thrust the bass through every cell in the room.

The brainchild of Beni G (Mixologists) and Plus One (Scratch Perverts), Jack Beats represent part of the new wave of British house music. Wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy accapella’s are cut, copied and pasted together to create a floor-filling brand of house.

Super hero Ninja DJ who lives up a mountain. Broadcasts to BBC Radio One most weeks at 8pm, every Saturday. And sometimes, if he's been a good boy and when certain planets cross certain interstella navagational posts, he get his own show on R1 too....plus he's a freak and wears a mask.
Jakwob
James Jacob AKA 'Jakwob' First came to acclaim via some major appreciation in the blog world for his remix of Ellie Goulding's 'Starry Eyed', he's since gone on to remix the likes of Empire Of The Sun, Temper Trap, Penguin prison and Jamie T to name a few.
Joy Orbison
“Cool” uncles have always gotten kids into all kinds of wonderful mischief, but 22-year-old Peter O’Grady from London , better known as Joy Orbison, was especially blessed. He credits uncle Ray Keith with introducing him to jungle and U.K. garage long before he could ever hit the clubs. At the age of 13 he took up DJing and eventually moved into production.
Kissy Sellout
Misfit essex boy and superstar jump-up rock'n'rave DJ of the new generation. Kissy built his career on furiously complex remixes of All Saints, Mark Ronson, Sugababes, Chromeo and The Human League amongst others and whilst not in the studio or touring the world he hosts his show on BBC Radio 1.
Mark Ronson
Mark Ronson is a sought-after turntablist who's worked with such diverse artists as Macy Gray, Jay-Z, and comedian Jimmy Fallon. The stepson of guitarist Mick Jones of Foreigner, Ronson spent the first eight years of his life growing up in England. Having played guitar and drums from an early age, it wasn't until moving to New York City with his mother that Ronson discovered DJ culture.
Ms Dynamite
Ms Dynamite, is a double BRIT Award and three time MOBO Awards winning R&B, UK garage, and hip hop singer and rapper. It was whilst working for a radio station, RAW FM, that Ms. Dynamite was discovered by Richard Forbes. After working briefly with garage outfit So Solid Crew, she released her debut album, A Little Deeper in 2002, featuring the songs It Takes More and Dy-Na-Mi-Tee. The album was released in the USA the following year to critical acclaim. She has recently stormed the charts with Katy B, Redlight and DJ Zinc.
Nero DJ Set
NERO have become a big name in both the Drum and Bass and Dubstep scenes, often fusing both styles of music in their DJ sets, gaining huge support from DJs like Andy C, Grooverider and Friction, as well as radio airplay from Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley, Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Rob Da Bank. Also supporting Deadmau5, Chase & Status and Zane Lowe on their UK tours. After winning the 2010 Beatport awards for best Dubstep Act and Best Dubstep Track for "Act Like You Know", Nero are going from strength to strength.
Pendulum Dj Set
Pendulum are a drum and bass/rock group from Perth, Australia. In 2005 they released their debut album, Hold Your Colour. Critically, the album was well-received in both the United Kingdom & Australia. It was also one of the biggest selling Drum and Bass releases of all time. Pendulum's sound is typically heavy beats accompanied by low, buzzing bass lines, overlaid with synthesized leads. Their track "Vault" was played by almost every DJ and was declared by annual Knowledge Drum’n’bass Awards as The Best Track of the Year. They've made a bunch of remixes, including a remix of Voodoo People by The Prodigy.
Redlight
Redlight is a Bristol-based artist navigating the unnamed airspace between house, breakbeats, dubstep and other well-loved dance music sounds. Having already crafted a handful of jet-propelled bangers which have won over early fans and followers including Skream, Toddla T, Jack Beats, Goldie, Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Annie Mac Redlight.
Roska
Real name Wayne Goodlitt, Roska has become one of the true success stories of the UK funky scene, unleashing a flurry of raw and percussive singles and a debut LP over the last two years and managing to gain a wide base of international support in the process. While Roska has been firmly stamped as UK Funky, his sound flirts with a variety of genres incorporating elements of Electro, House, Garage and Dubstep.
Rusko
The prolific and energetic Rusko. With his fun approach to the dubstep massive whose adventurous sound brought him the delicious hit “Cockney Thug". Now part of the Mad Decent Camp with collaborations on the horizon with the likes of Switch, Diplo , Santigold, Trouble Andrew, Hot Chip and more…the future sure is looking bright. Currently setting the radio airwaves alight with his own productions and remixes of artists such as The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Little Boots and plenty more..
Skream
Croydon's musical wonderkid. At 15 he discovered making music. Five years later he's changed the course of UK urban music, having helped build the foundations of London's most exciting new musical style, dubstep. But he's barely started yet, Skream is an artist on fire. Producing tracks that are rewound at every dubstep rave and appearing in sets by DJs as diverse as Mr Scruff, FreQ Nasty & Ricardo Villalobos.
Zinc
Zinc's longstanding career as a DJ and producer, stretches the steady evolution of hardcore from its house and rave roots through ragga and hip hop styled hardstep and beyond. 2008 saw Zinc hit out with to his hybrid of house sounds, from deep house to funky to fidget house, he ended up producing a sound that did not fit into any of these sub-genres and dubbed this 'Crack House'
